I bought two limited edition, signed serigraphs by Hiro Yamagata in the very
early 80's. This was before he signed what I was told as an exclusive agency
agreement with Martin Lawrence Galleries. When I was first interested in trying
to evaluate these two works, I got nowhere because they were pre-Martin Lawrence
which was setting the prices for all his works at that time. I also couldn't
find any area appraisers to give me a very good idea of their value. Now that
time has passed and I have five kids in college at the same time I'm again
interested in finding a market for these works but I'm having trouble again
determining their fair market value. If anyone has any suggestions they would be
appreciated. The two works are The Exhibition and The Wright Brothers. Thanks.
