See World Class Landscape Painters Paint Niagara in the 5th WORLDWIDE
Paint
Out!
Some of the worlds's most talented outdoor painters will bring their
paint boxes and easels to Niagara, well known for its vistas of the
Horseshoe and American Falls, painted by some of the most famous
painters in history on Sept 7 & 8th.
This remarkable event 'Paint Niagara 2007' happens with the support
of International Plein Air
Painters, The City of Niagara Falls, Ontario, The City of Niagara
Falls, New York, Niagara Parks
Commission and other supporters. Artists from all over the US and
Canada will be painting throughout Queen Victoria Park.
Plein air artists seek the quality of natural light and atmosphere
outdoors. Their art work is in direct response to the beauty they
find in nature. They use a variety of media, from oils, through
watercolors and pastels.
Event organizer, Jacqueline Baldini ,says there is a joy about
painting outdoors versus artists who paint in a studio copying
photographs and this was a chance for people to see professional
artists at work, in response to the beauty in nature.
International Plein Air Painters has members and non members scheduled
at the paint out who reside throughout the United States, Great
Britain, Canada, France, Israel, St. Lucia, Sweden, Curacao, Israel,
Iran, Italy and Spain. The WORLDWIDE event is happening
simultaneously around the globe on the same dates.
This is the 2nd time the event is sponsored by sister cities Niagara
Falls, Ontario and Niagara Falls, New York.
Mayor Ted Salci and Mayor Vince Anello will be in attendance to
present awards.
Artist registration and fee is required.
