All subscribers to the alt.art.marketplace group who are in New York
are cordially invited to the opening reception for David Tobey's
exhibition "Driving Force" to be held at Pleiades Gallery, 530 West
25th Street in Chelsea this Saturday, September 29th from 4 to 7 p.m.
David will be showing a number of his paintings created over the years
in different sytles that are representative of the "driving force"
that is behind his being an artist, as well as some half dozen of his
welded steel sculptures.
The exhibition is a benefit for the American Cancer Society, with 30$
of the proceeds from the sale of any artwork of his through the end of
the show on October 13th to go to the ACS.
There will be refreshments and entertainment by keyboard artist Kirk
Ehrenreich, so please try to join us for what we believe will be an
