hi all,
I am new to SG and am making stain glass lamps. I got a book called "inner
Glow" it shows how to make a matching lamp base out of SG. I love these
lamps but I am having trouble finding the lamp hardware for them. I found
one website that has lamp kits but nothing with the one that has a bulb in
the base also. Does anyone know where I can find this kind of hardware?
thanks, Laura

You'll need to find a place that fixes lamps. You won't find what you want
at Home Depot or at most of the Stained Glass places. Try your yellowpages
for lighting fixtures- repairing and parts. What is hard to find is the 3
position switch that selects between the top, the inside lamp, or both.
This is NOT the same as a 3-way switch for 50-100-150 bulbs. The rest of
the Inner Glow lamp hardware is pretty common. You'll have to get some
special fixture wire (really small) to feed back down inside the lamp to
power the inner bulb. I've found that a low wattage long skinny bulb works
best. If you were in Atlanta, I could tell you exactly where to go to find
this stuff.

Try Ace Hardware. I got all the stuff there a few years ago. You need
the candleabra socket and the right 3-way socket (As Moon mentioned)
plus the fittings...threaded pipe, etc. Take the book with you. As I
remember, the book at a drawing of the electrical setup.

If you have a Hobby Lobby in your area check it out, I get in there for
an hour at a time, that is the only place I can find bambo rings for my
glass birds I make
